Painting
I edited the hats on Adobe Illustrator. In this lesson I learned how to use color and swatches palettes to apply, modify, and save colors. I also used the brushes palette to apply patterns to the path of an object.
Transparency & Blending Modes
I edited this logo on Illustrator. I learned how to use transparency to create special effects, such as knock out underlying colors. This can be helpful for many projects, especially with the opacity mask tool.
Clock
I created this clock using Adobe Illustrator. The purpose of this lesson was to further understand the concept of layers. The layers enabled me to determine which images appeared on top of the other.I learned to create, rearrange, and lock layers/groups. I also merged layers into a group. Applied a drop shadow to a layer and apply an appearance attribute to objects/layers.
Goldfish
I created this goldfish in Adobe Illustrator. At first we used a template to trace the top layers/eyes accordingly. I made a stamp of the fins and brushed it over the body to create a fin look. I would have picked more complimentary colors if I were to do this project again. At the end of the project we were to hide the template, which made the fish look different than I had wanted. If I did it again I would have hid the template periodically to see how the fish would look without it.
Kanye West
I made this portrait of Kanye West using adobe illustrator. I had a picture of kanye west that I traced with the pencil tool and used the color dropper to select the colors. I used many tools such as trasparency, color dropper, pencil, blending, and eraser to create this.
Animal Project
I created this dolphin using the same technique as the celebrity portrait above. With more experience I was able to create it faster and more efficiently than the celebrity. I am now able to further understand the concept of layers.
