Personal Portait
This is a Lichtenstein illustration of myself. I used benday dots to create the cartoon effect on my face. I learned to use thick and thin lines to emphasize portions of my drawing. The benday dot tutorial can be found here - http://www.melissaevans.com/tutorials/pop-art-inspired-by-lichtenstein. I made this in Adobe Photoshop. Basically, you create 5 dots. One in the middle and four around it. Then create a box around them and send the box to the back. Use the color dropper to select the color for the dots. Drag the shape in to the swatches pallete and drop your swatch to the shape you wish to fill. If I were to do this again I would use more thick lines through my hair.
Drive Safe Poster
I created this poster in Adobe Photoshop. The poster was made to be entered in to a contest to promote safe driving. I came up with the slogan from 4 wheels to 2 to emphasize the change from a car to wheelchair after the accident. I used the blur tool as well as the lasso in creating this. Overall, I am pleased with the outcome of my poster and believe it was made for a good cause. If I were to do it again I would consider a different font as well as changing the color scheme.
Date Night Stop Motion
This was my first experiment with stop motion software. I began by cutting out photos and using the onion skin to allign them and create a feeling that the people are moving. I also learned how to copy a slide and paste it behind the other so that the slide can remain on the video for a longer amount of time. If I were to do this again I would work to improving the fluidity of the slide transitions.
Face Emotions Stop Motion
The project was to create a 10 second stop motion using 7.5 FPS, including at least 3 different facial emotions. I began by printing out the top of a face and cutting out the bottom as well as eye holes. I used the marker to draw in eyes and a mouth to easily. I struggled with fluid transitions and the change from 10 FPS to 7.5 FPS was also hard for me. I learned a lot during this though about how to transition between emotions slowly rather than abruptly.
